Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, The Duchess of Windsor, Grace Kelly. names of fascinating women who have become icons of beauty, fashion and luxury for millions around the world and who still serve as examples for the woman of today when looking into her wardrobe and desperately asking the question: "What am I going to wear today?"
The creative mind behind the timeless elegance of these stars has been for a half century Hubert de Givenchy, one of the greatest designers of our history. After the Second World War, the 18 years old Givenchy went to Paris to pursue his dream to become a couturier. A few years later, in 1952, he opened his own fashion house and a wonderful career started. Hubert de Givenchy became one of the most recognized designers of the world.

No other client was more faithful to him than the great actress Audrey Hepburn. She met him at the beginning of his career and asked him for some dresses for her second movie SABRINA. Hubert de Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn became friends immediately and from that moment on, Givenchy made the costumes for almost all her movies and also for her private life.

Since his depart from Givenchy Couture in 1995, Hubert de Givenchy has refused nearly every request in connection with fashion. But in 2002 he accepted to come back for a moment to offer a present to the public in memory of his 44 years of creation.
